Alexa’s Welcome Dinner

Designing my own wedding in Tuscany ignited my passion for wedding planning. The experience highlights my keen eye for detail and my ability to design memorable, immersive experiences for guests. From the stunning landscape of Tuscany to the meticulously curated details, every element was thoughtful and left guests feeling cared for.

We wanted to ensure that the 65 guests traveling from afar to Chianti Italyy felt especially taken care of from start to finish during our wedding weekend. The welcome dinner began with a wine tour on the property, culminating in a surprise dinner in the old wine cellar. Guests were utterly delighted when the wooden doors swung open to reveal a violinist serenading them. Pillar candles lined the entrance, transporting everyone into the enchanting world of our wedding.
For the design, I aimed to blend modern elements with vintage charm. I envisioned a space bathed in the warm glow of numerous candles and candlesticks. To balance the vintage candelabras, we incorporated modern ghost chairs and neon lights. A neon sign displaying "Let There Be Love," our wedding song, provided a teaser of what was to come. Shades of pink and purple lighting added to the romantic atmosphere.
Collaborating with Sahroo Bridal, I created my dream dress with her famous Kaftan, perfectly tailored to my size. The design was inspired by a fusion of old Hollywood glamour and the romance of Tuscany. Greg, styled in all white, and I had a blast taking photos together. I also had the honor of wearing my grandma’s engagement ring, adding a touch of family heritage to the celebration.
